Electronic Actuators
Over the last few years in the Turbocharger Industry, Many manufacturers have seen major changes in the design of turbos. More and more Turbochargers in the market have introduced the Electronic Actuator.
The Electronic Actuator incorporates electrical circuits which pass pulses / signals to a motor. This moves the actuator arm which is linked to the variable vanes.
There are pre-set start and stop positions within the actuator which control the boosting of the turbo. These positions are slightly different for each turbo which makes each electronic actuator specific to each unit.
